Gingko
"Gingko" is from a series of graphic compositions for the Jon Raskin Quartet that consists of Liz Allbee-trumpet, George Cremaschi-bass & electronics and Gino Robair-percussion & electronics. The scores from this series were made from plant material that was found in walks in my neighborhood and were composed for improvisers. The works can be completely open or make use of pre-determined and fixed material that can be added in to get a more specific reading of the work.

Instructions for Gingko The four gingko icons located on the right side of the page will activate/deactivate individual Gingko scores. Each score is comprised of three main components:
1.) the center circle is all four players and is activated by clicking
the center of the circle,
2.) individual Gingko leaves are solo, duo or trio and are activated
by clicking on each leaf, and
3.) eight background sounds, located on the borders of each image
which are activated on cursor rollover.
Reselecting any element will start it again, and it will play concurrently with the previous selections. Since this layering can buildup quickly, I recommend starting simple to learn the sonic elements before moving to denser versions. Don't be afraid of silencese
